Feedback travellers left on the booking listings for these tours,
in our words rather than theirs, and grouped by the quarter they describe. The
critical ones are here too — they are the most useful thing on the page if
you are choosing between walks that look alike on paper.
Every score and count below belongs to the operator who runs the tour and
comes from that tour’s own booking page. They are shown as plain text and
nothing on this site marks them up as our own. Ratings move, so treat a figure as
a snapshot taken on 2026-09-13 rather than a permanent property of a tour.
Paris Le Marais Food Tour With 10+ Tastings, Cheese, Wine & More
★★★★★
We did this on our first day in Paris and it was the right way round: you get your bearings in the Marais and eat at small places you would never have picked out. Gaspard knew the neighbourhood properly. We were full by the end.

Paris Le Marais Food Tour With 10+ Tastings, Cheese, Wine & More
★★★★★
Excellent food, all of it within a few streets of where we were staying, and we came away with a list of places to go back to for the rest of the trip. The guide was knowledgeable and we learned a lot along the way.

Paris Le Marais Food Tour With 10+ Tastings, Cheese, Wine & More
★★★☆☆
We loved the Marais itself, but our guide was quiet and did not draw the group in, so we came away knowing less about the food culture than we had on other tours. The tastings were mixed in quality.

★★★★★
The best croissant I have ever eaten, and plenty of history alongside the food. Cecelia was articulate and clearly knew her subject. The whole thing was fabulous.

Devour Paris Ultimate Food Tour
★★★★★
The best of the three food tours we have done. It rained and the small group still had a good time — the guide was funny, the stops were strong, and the Marais holds up in bad weather.

Devour Paris Ultimate Food Tour
★★★☆☆
One of the shops was closed for the summer holidays, so the guide had to swap in a neighbouring one at short notice. Not the guide's fault, but at this price I would have expected the route to plan around a closure that happens every August.

Paris Le Marais Food and Wine Tour with Eating Europe
★★★★★
Harriet is as good on French food history and winemaking as anyone we have met. Several stops across the Marais took us from cream puffs to boeuf bourguignon. We would happily do it again on the next visit.

Our family of four adults enjoyed the whole thing and came away quite full. There was real variety and a lot of thought had gone into the choices.

Paris Le Marais District Original Food and Wine Tasting Tour
★★★★★
We tasted French cheeses, pâté, chocolates, marrons and falafel, and ate at a good restaurant where the onion soup was excellent. Lola was personable and knew her material.

Paris Le Marais District Original Food and Wine Tasting Tour
★★★☆☆
There is nowhere to sit down at most of the tasting stops, and much of our group was elderly, which made it uncomfortable. The dinner at the end was a proper sit-down restaurant. Of six food tours I have done in European cities, this was my least favourite.

Paris: Private French Food & Wine Walking Tour in Le Marais
★★★★★
Armstrong hosted our private family party of six beautifully. We enjoyed the food and the wine and his stories about the Marais and its architecture. The escargot was very good.

Paris: Private French Food & Wine Walking Tour in Le Marais

Armstrong was a good guide and showed us some excellent restaurants. We only got three of the four glasses of wine before he left, which was a shame at the price.

Good afternoon. We tried most of the famous Parisian things, from chocolates and macarons to onion soup, and picked up some history about the quarter along the way.

Davide was an excellent guide. I am not an adventurous eater and I still enjoyed everything — there was good variety between the desserts, the soup, the cheese and the wine. A lovely area to wander through.

Paris: Le Marais Guided Food Tour with Tastings
★★★★★
Nil was a great guide and we learned as much about the history and culture of Paris as about the food we were eating. It helped that there were only six of us.

Paris Montmartre Guided Food Tour: A Full Meal by Do Eat Better
★★★★★
I am slightly disabled and Esther made getting from the Moulin Rouge up to the Sacré-Cœur manageable, with a slow pace and several places to sit. The boeuf bourguignon was the best thing we ate. The stops were well chosen.

Marie was very good company and knew her subject. There is a lot of uphill walking on this one, so wear decent shoes. Everything included was excellent and there was plenty of it.

Paris Montmartre Guided Food Tour: A Full Meal by Do Eat Better
★★★★★
The history was genuinely interesting and Kevin made it fun. For a food tour I would have liked one or two more stops — we had beef stew, a couple of glasses of wine, a croissant, a cheese sample and a dessert crêpe across the three hours.

An excellent introduction to Montmartre. Julie gave us the history, the food and the drink, and sent us off with suggestions for later meals. I would recommend it to anyone new to the hill.

Montmartre Food Tour: 15 Tastings, Most Complete Paris Experience
★★★★★
My adult daughter and I had a fantastic afternoon. The guide knows Montmartre, food and wine, and is good company with it. My one piece of advice is to pace yourself — there is a great deal of food.

Montmartre Food Tour: 15 Tastings, Most Complete Paris Experience
★★★★★
Imrane put the whole route together himself and it shows. Every tasting was good and we learned a lot about the area's history. It finishes sitting down in a restaurant with tastings from several places, which was a good way to end.

Salma was great and so were the food and the wine. It is a good way to see Montmartre. Wear comfortable trainers, because there is a lot of walking and a lot of hill.

Informal but genuinely educational. If you are hesitant about a three-hour walking tour, do not be — you stop, you sit and you eat. Emy was a pleasure.

Paris: St Germain Food Tour with 10+ French Delicacies Tastings
★★★★★
Stephane was as good on Saint-Germain and on Parisians as he was on the food. It ends at a restaurant where you eat what has been gathered along the way, and it turned into a proper conversation among the group.

Paris: St Germain Food Tour with 10+ French Delicacies Tastings

The walk was good but expensive for what it is. Most of the chocolate shops were closed because we went on a Sunday, and it would have been useful to know that at the time of booking.

The best tour we took on a month-long trip. Aude made it a genuinely special day, and the tastings were explained rather than just handed over.

Paris: Saint Germain des Prés Guided Foodie Walking Tour

It was nice to have it as a private tour for the two of us. Other reviews talked about leaving full and my husband was looking forward to that; there was more tasting of olive oil and jams than eating, which felt like pressure to buy.

We walked beautiful Montmartre streets and stopped at places we would never have found, for bread, macarons, pastry and cheese. The second half was a French meal with wine in a private dining room with the group, which was the part we remember.

Too much driving for what we saw. The first champagne house was not expecting us so nothing was set up, and lunch was oddly formal with no champagne poured. Taittinger and the Veuve Clicquot stop were both good.

We enjoyed the châteaux very much and lunch was good. The wine tasting was a little underwhelming — I expected more explanation than we got. The van was warm on the way back.

One pattern is worth reading for: on the walks that stand rather than sit, the
reviews split by who was in the group. The same three hours read as
relaxed to one party and as uncomfortable to another with older travellers in it,
and the listings do say which walks put you at a table.
