Paris Food Events and Festivals
Only events with a confirmed date on an official page are listed here, each with the link. Where an event’s next Paris date could not be confirmed, it is named without a date rather than guessed at — which is the difference between a calendar and a wish list.
Dates move, and organisers change venues. Check the official page linked under any event before you book travel around it, and if you are building a trip around food rather than a festival, the Paris Food tours run all year and refund at 24 hours.

Cocktail Street / Paris Cocktail Week
Dates: 26–28 September 2026
Where: Grande Halle de la Villette, 19th
Three days of bars, distillers and tastings under the ironwork of the old cattle market. It is drink rather than food, but it is the one September date in Paris a food traveller would plan around.

Salon du Chocolat Paris, 30th edition
Dates: 28 October – 1 November 2026, daily 10:00–19:00 (preview evening Tuesday 27 October, 19:00–22:00)
Where: Porte de Versailles, Pavilion 5, 1 place de la Porte de Versailles, 75015
The largest chocolate fair in the world, and the thirtieth. Chocolatiers and pâtissiers from across France and beyond, with demonstrations and a chocolate fashion show that is exactly as odd as it sounds.
If you are on a walk that includes a bean-to-bar chocolatier this week, you will hear about it.

Beaujolais Nouveau Day
Dates: Thursday 19 November 2026, from 00:01
Where: Every bar and bistro in the city
The third Thursday of November, fixed by the French decree of 29 October 1985, when the year’s Beaujolais may first be sold. Paris drinks it in the evening rather than at midnight, and the bistros make an event of it.
No booking, no venue, no ticket — just turn up somewhere with a blackboard outside.

Salon International de l’Agriculture, 63rd edition
Dates: 27 February – 7 March 2027, daily 09:00–19:00
Where: Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, 1 place de la Porte de Versailles, 75015
France’s agricultural show, and in practice the largest regional food market the country stages: every region with a stand, and most of them pouring.
It is a nine-day event and a whole day inside it. Do not try to pair it with a food walk on the same afternoon.

The weekly and monthly calendar
Most of what makes Paris worth eating in is not a festival. The covered markets run Tuesday to Saturday and Sunday morning and close on Monday; the market streets keep their own hours; and the bakeries that win the city’s competitions are open all week.

The baguette competition, and why it matters to a walk
The Ville de Paris runs an annual competition for the best baguette de tradition in the city. The 2026 winner, announced on 26 February, was Sithamparappillai Jegatheepan of Fournil Didot in the 14th arrondissement, and the prize includes supplying the Élysée Palace for a year.
It matters here because it is the one public, judged standard for the thing every one of these walks starts with. A guide who tells you a bakery is good is giving you an opinion; a bakery that has placed in this is a fact.
Events we are not listing, and why
Fête de la Gastronomie. Its only 2026 edition we could find is a regional one in the Essonne, not a Paris event. Listing it as a Paris happening would be wrong.
Goût de France. No 2026 Paris date could be confirmed on the ministry’s own pages, so none is given.
Semaine du Goût. Widely reported for October 2026 but not confirmed on a government page, so it is named here and not dated.
Omnivore beyond January. The 2026 format is chapters rather than a single festival, and no further Paris date was confirmed.
